Capoferri chosen to join the board of New Jersey’s premier contractor trade association
Summer 2022
At UTCA’s recent general membership meeting, APS founder and owner Bob Capoferri was elected to serve on the association’s Board of Directors. The UTCA represents approximately 1,000 member firms in the public and private sectors, active in all phases of heavy, highway, utility, and marine construction, as well as site work including remediation of brownfields and contaminated sites. UTCA is NJ’s premier construction trade association and works with the legislature on bills directly impacting the construction industry, while also maintaining strong relationships with the agencies that put out the work that maintains the industry. UTCA’s Board of Directors consists of owners, Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents of New Jersey’s leading construction companies.
Bob was selected after his more than 40 years of construction industry experience leading Asphalt Paving Systems (APS). In addition to his broad-based industry knowledge, Bob will be called upon for his knowledge of the paving industry, specifically his expertise with tack coats and pavement preservation.
Capoferri will be joining this impressive group of industry leaders at a critical time in our nation’s history. With the recent passing of the federal infrastructure package, NJ will be receiving record levels of funding for road projects.
Bob and the UTCA Board and staff will work with the New Jersey Department of Transportation to ensure this funding is spent efficiently and produces the maximum number of projects for the State. Congratulations and good luck to Bob Capoferri with this new endeavor.
